My Friend, Nichole

Long, long ago (ok, a little over four years ago) I didn't stamp. My first experience with stamping about a year and a half before was what I would call "disastrous." The card design was very country-cute, which I don't do, and the colors were, ahem, not very nice together (picture Cameo Coral with a cross between Barely Banana and Very Vanilla). To top it off, the stamps were not well-cut and left a shadow around every image. And with tiny flowers sprinkled all over the background, there were a LOT of shadows! I thought I just "couldn't" stamp.

Long story short (and it IS a long story-- I started telling it, but decided not to bore you... today) my friend Nichole helped introduce me to stamping. We joined Stampin' Up! the same night, and she adopted me into her group when our upline scaled back her business and eventually quit. She cheered me on in my business and inspired me to do better.

Now she is introducing her own stamp line! I am so excited, so proud, so happy for her! If you've ever flipped through one of PaperCrafts numerous publications, you've probably seen her name. Nichole Heady has a clean, sophisticated style all her own. Her company, Papertrey Ink, shows that style. Nichole's new stamp set is being unveiled tomorrow, along with an online gallery featuring such stampers as Lisa Johnson, Heather Nichols, Debbie Olson, Amy Rysavy, and Taylor VanBruggen.
