May I just say, I love die-cut stamps! I went from first opening my set to stamping with it in about two minutes, tops! Wooo hooo to SU for making stamping easier than ever!
Okay, now that I have that little cheer leading session out of the way... I knew from the moment that I first saw sneak peeks at this set that it would go on my first catalog order of the year. Stampin' Up! made it even easier by putting it on sale right away! How could I say "no" to simple, elegant stamps for 15% off? Suffice it to say, I couldn't!
I also was thrilled with the new Baja Breeze striped ribbon. When thick grosgrain was first introduced last year, I remember thinking "it's pretty and all, but I'm a card-maker, not a scrapbooker. Isn't it a bit, well, wide for cards?" Obviously I've changed my tune. *wink* I've found that wide ribbon is just as perfect for cards as narrow ribbon, and in some cases it's better! I think anything more narrow would have been lost on this card, don't you?

Supplies...
Stamp Sets: Upsy Daisy, Hugs & Wishes
Ink: Certainly Celery Classic Stampin' Pad, Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Marker, Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker
Paper: Baja Breeze card stock, Chocolate Chip card stock, Whisper White card stock
Accessories: Baja Breeze striped grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Border punch, 3/4" Circle punch, Crafter's Tool Kit, Stampin' Dimensionals
My only complaint about "Upsy Daisy" is that the saying "Birthday Celebrations" doesn't make much sense on the front of a greeting card. An invitation-- yes! As part of a scrapbook-- certainly! Not so much for your run-of-the-mill birthday card. So for this card, I inked up just "BIRTHDAY" with my Chocolate Chip marker, stamped that, then inked "hugs & wishes" from the "birthday hugs & wishes" stamp in the set "Hugs & Wishes" with my Certainly Celery marker and stamped that just beneath.
The cut-out through the Chocolate Chip and Whisper White layers to keep those layers from crowding the Baja Breeze ribbon knot was made with the 3/4" Circle punch. I punched first through the Chocolate Chip, then layered on the Whisper White and punched again.
Lastly you may notice the lovely piercing at the top... Also in this first new catalog order was my new Mat Pack to replace the piercing and eyelet template that my youngest son so lovingly "altered" for me-- with his teeth! LOL!

Okay, the more I see that stamp, the more I am wanting it(i usually only like the ones you can color in ). I guess it will go on the list, too!! (I start an afterschool job tomorrow to support this crazy scrapbook and stamp obsession!!).
I am glad you extended the challenge until tomorrow because I forgot to photgraph the card I made when the sun was still out!! Well, maybe I will try it with the balcony light!!
You card is lovely, by the way :)

Fabulous card, Belinda! I don't get the Birthday Celebrations sentiment either, and I love your custom-made saying!
