Stamp With Belinda

Awwww... How Cute!

There's not much that goes into making these adorable little pillow boxes... But they'd be simple to dress up with a tag. I was able to put two sheets of Designer Series Paper through my Big Shot with this die... I haven't tried for more than that yet. I'll have to give it a go when I get a second die (the better to crank them out super-fast, my dear!) and start in on my kids' Valentine's Day treats for their classmates.

This dainty box is the perfect size for just a few chocolates. I'm hoping it's just the right size for those bitty bags of candy hearts, too. *grin* The finished size is about 3-3/4" x 2-1/8" x 1".

A Sale-A-Bration card...

I love new stuff! This one is fun... new printed card stock, new punches, new buttons, new stamps... and the stamps are free with a $50(US) order! How fun is that? I love free. *wink*

This card is based on a card in the January Stampin' Success. Like the catalog, it's easy to take samples from the magazine and recreate them with what I have on hand. The Stampin' Success is a great resource, not only for building my business (plenty of articles!) but also the stamping ideas. And it's a free perq for being a demo!

I love that this card didn't turn out too frou-frou. It would be great for a guy, I think-- just a hint of pink. It's a 4"x4" card, not a size I make very often.

To CASE or not to CASE...

I had a full-card swap coming up (as opposed to the card-front swaps I often participate in with other demonstrators) with some gals from church. I had some ideas, but I didn't much like the way they were turning out, so I perused the Splitcoast Stampers Gallery for some better ideas. I found THIS card by CraftyKristi, and I fell in love!

So I reproduced it. Ok, almost exactly. I changed out the Pretty in Pink card stock that she used for Pink Pirouette, scalloped the edge with my Scallop Punch, and used Riding Hood Red card stock and ribbon... but otherwise it's pretty obviously a case of CASE-ing.

The swap went well (if you forget the fact that I forgot my envelopes...), the other gals liked my card (well, they said they did... maybe they were sparing my feelings ;)), and I came home with a bunch more cards that I can RAK to some friends!

For the Bride... an Invitation

Long ago... (well, a few weeks ago... seems like a long time now) we were discussing the new catalog (those who had received it were telling those of us who hadn't yet all about it!) and someone along the way said something to the effect that they didn't see who in the world would wear a dress like the one on the girl in the set "For the Bride". Now if you followed that, kudos! Anyway, it was a negative-ish comment about the set, and that set was one of the first I looked for in the new catalog. And I LOVED it! So here's my first "For the Bride" card.

But it doesn't use the (in)famous dress. (Infamous=more than famous.) You can see that HERE.

I ran my Rose Red card stock through the Big Shot with one of the new Stampin' Up! Texturz plates, then swiped my Very Vanilla Craft ink pad over the card stock to give the texture a little pop.

Happily Ever After Card

So I got a bunch of new stamps and accessories not too long ago (and have more coming tomorrow *blushes*) and threw together a couple new cards. This first is inspired by a card on page 35 of the new Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog. I turned the layout, changed the colors, changed the set... but the basic sketch is still there. I love the new Eyelet Border punch! It adds a bit of delicate whimsy to this card.

Oh-- this card has no ribbon. As many of you know, that is very unusual for me. *shrugs* Some cards just don't need ribbon, I suppose. (*gasp* Did I just say that?!?)
