I've seen a few of these mini albums made with the Top Note die around, so when I thought of what to get my husband for Father's Day, I knew it would be perfect! In fact, the most difficulty I had was in narrowing down the photos I wanted to use! Since DH (dear hubby) will be gone for Army stuff, I gave him his gift today. He loved it and carefully packed it away in a ziplock bag so he could take it with him! that's the best kind of complement, isn't it?
I printed some song lyrics (we're all about singing bits of songs that fit the occasion!) on vellum card stock, and while waiting for it to dry (it was taking a while!) came up with the brilliant idea to emboss the words! WOW! The effect of that is stunning! These pictures do not do justice to the Iridescent Ice-embossed words! To make the brads match, I embossed them with Iridescent Ice, too. Use reverse tweezers (they open when you squeeze them-- reverse of normal tweezers) to hold the brad, heat with heat tool about 4-5 seconds, dip into embossing powder, zap with the heat, dip, zap, and if it needs it again (some of mine did, some didn't) dip and zap again. So that's dip and zap 2-3 times. *wink*
And voi-la! Pretty sparkly brads! (All together now... ooooh, ahhhh!)
