(Okay, this is a long post... if you really must, you can skip all the "blah blah" and just scroll on down to the card. I promise there is one. :))
I received my order for sneak peek items from Stampin' Up! today! There were a couple things I missed (one I put on, then took off, then put on, then took off... argh!, and another I completely just spaced!), but I got card stock, ink, ribbon, and MARKERS!!! in all the new In Colors! I also outdid myself and ordered FIVE new stamp sets! I just couldn't help it... they were calling my name! lol!
Of course, when Brown knocked on my door and sprinted back to his truck (I swear, he must think I have cooties or something) and I flung the door open and ripped the tape off my box, I pawed through all the lovely new colors in search of that most precious thing... the new 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog! Yes, instead of allowing the complementary catalogs to be held hostage at the post office for weeks on end, this year Stampin' Up! decided to ship demonstrators' complementary catalogs to them with their first order between June 1st and July 5th!
So yes, I have the new catalog. No, I can't spill any beans. :( BUT if you'd like to see it, just come on by! I am allowed to let you look at it! :D And I must say, I do enjoy looking at it! Stampin' Up! has done some new things with the design that I LOVE, and of course, there's all the new product! My favoritest evah was the 2005-2006 Idea Book & Catalog (it was released the year they changed so much of their packaging to a light turquoise/aqua color color, and the 05-06 catalog is that same color). But this one is my favoritestest EVAHHHHH!!! Yes, it's that good! ;)
Ok, enough of my drooling about the catalog. (I am prepping a post with a bunch of "check this out"s for July 1st... when I will finally be able to spill the beans, let the cat out of the bag, break the news, etc. Stay tuned!)
So it was late when Brown dropped off my package yesterday... 6 PM... and I had to take The Boy to Scouts, and go get a few necessary groceries (man, the kids go through a lot of milk when they're home for the summer!), and cook dinner (frozen pizza), and bring The Boy back from Scouts, and watch a movie with The Family, and (finally!) drool over the catalog... but this morning I finally had time to break out the stamps.

On my monitor, the Crushed Curry looks a little greenish, but rest assured-- it's GAWJUS in person! It's several shades lighter than More Mustard, and has a similar warm, earthy tone. Rich Razzleberry looks to me like what Perfect Plum should be-- a rich reddish purple. Did I say I'm loving these colors??? :D
